"I would like to thank everyone that has helped me with
my ordeal. Please let me explain
I adopted Stanley August 5, 2002, from
a foster home. Before I brought him home I called ShelterCare and activated my ShelterCare
Gift Policy. I am glad I did not wait. Stanley was doing fine the first few
days getting to know his new home. The morning of the August 14, 2002, things
changed. Stanley began to look ill and had uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting.
I knew something was wrong and brought him to the vet right away. Stanley needed
treatment for Parvovirus, I was shocked with the severity of the illness. I
have spent hundreds of dollars previously on another adopted pet, but I did
not have to worry this time. The great news is that Stanley is doing well and
I was not burdened with the thought of compromising his treatment because of
financial constraints. My total reimbursement came to $497.75, they even paid
for part of the special food prescribed. Thank you Petfinder in purchasing two
months of ShelterCare protection for my little guy, thank you ShelterCare in providing
such a great insurance program and reimbursing me in a timely fashion. Sincerely,"
